Our Story
The person behind the porch light
Gold Star Pet Care is one person, not a platform — here's who's actually at your door.
Kim
Kim spent her career as a schoolteacher. Decades of it: morning routines that actually happened, twenty-some distinct personalities managed at once, instructions followed to the letter, and — above all — other people's most precious things placed in her hands every single day, and handed back thriving.
It turns out that is exactly the job description of a good pet sitter. Every pet is a creature of routine. Feeding charts read like lesson plans. A nervous rescue warms up the same way a shy student does — with patience, consistency, and someone who notices the small things. When Kim traded the classroom for pet care, nothing about the standard changed; only the students did.
The way she works is simple. Every new household starts with a free meet & greet, so pets and people can size her up on their own turf. Your instructions — feeding, medications, walking routes, alarm quirks, which couch is allowed — are written down and followed exactly. While you're away, photo pupdates arrive so you never have to wonder. And it's the same person at your door every time: no roster, no rotation, no stranger with an app.
Your pets, your home, your routines — kept just the way you left them, right down to the porch light being on when you pull back in.
